When Kylie Jenner shares a new photo, it usually starts a conversation. Normally, it’s a mix of comments, some positive and others from online trolls. However, her latest holiday photos raised real concerns from her followers about her safety.

In the post, Kylie shared a series of photos with her 398 million followers on Instagram. The pictures show the 27-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder wearing a white bikini top and a skirt with a built-in belt. She accessorized with what appeared to be a large diamond earring and an arm ring.
However, the main point of concern was the backdrop in the photos. A storm was clearly visible in the background, with dark clouds and lightning. Kylie captioned the post “Mother storm” and added cloud and lightning emojis, drawing attention to the dangerous weather.
It didn’t take long for fans to express their worries. Several followers pointed out the risk of her holding onto a metal railing during a thunderstorm. One user commented, “Holding on to a metal railing during a lightning storm is crazy.” It’s well known that lightning can conduct through metal, and if lightning had struck the yacht, Kylie could have been electrocuted.

The National Weather Service explains that metal doesn’t attract lightning, but it provides a path for lightning to follow, putting anyone in contact with it at risk. Whether indoors or outdoors, people near metal surfaces like wires or plumbing can be affected if lightning strikes nearby.

This photo was shared just a week after Kylie appeared on the cover of British Vogue, where she talked about the challenges of regaining her body shape after giving birth to her second child, Aire. She shares her children, Stormi and Aire, with her partner Travis Scott. Kylie is also in a relationship with Timothée Chalamet, which began in April 2023.
